This really resonates...the giving up alcohol and the initial fear of yoga classes! I'm six months into sobriety now and I feel so much better for it. And the yoga...I've been practicing mainly at home for nearly ten years (I'm an introvert) but there is a little part of me that would love to be brave and develop my practice further. Maybe this will be the year. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Yes Sarah! Go for it! If you'd have told me 5 years ago I would be teaching yoga to my own full classes I would have said you were crazy! I had hardly ever been on a mat, but I knew as soon as I started that this was a practice that was going to help me heal, and within a year a seed was planted that if I devoted time, effort and consistency, I might be able to help others to feel the magic 🙏 Stepping out of my comfort zone and pushing myself worked (despite me being an introvert). Sobriety gives us wings 😆 Well done on 6 months - keep going ❤️
Please tell your friend I'll write a post about it 😘 The thing that helped me more than anything was to remember that I had only set myself one rule, one non-negotiable. That rule was NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I WILL NOT DRINK. Sounds simple right, it kind of is! Of course it's hard at times, but it is a simple rule ❤️ I'll go into more detail in a post.
Love this so much. Huge well done Carolyn. You are a guiding light to me and can’t wait to follow in your YTT footsteps to Bali. love how yoga has helped heal your marriage and how you’ve discovered an alternative F it button 🙌you are living the life of your dreams and fully deserve to. It’s never too late to grab life by the balls as you have done! Love it xx
Love this. So proofs of you! I feel at 45 I wish I’d done it sooner but I simply couldn’t have. I’m shook at the 4 thousand weeks!!! I can’t believe how fast life is going. But we’ll make the best of what’s left, eh? X
